The Unpredictable

Ongoing Research / Various Formats

2014 – 2019

“The unpredictable”, is an open reflection on the anticipatory condition of architecture. Focusing on the contradiction between the mandatory predefinition of spaces and the impossibility of knowing in advance what will occur in those spaces. It involves several mediums and formats: texts, university studios, video documentaries and interviews. A Columbia University award originally funded this study in 2014. Since then Jean Philippe Vassal, Jeremy till and Jonathan Hill, among other academics and practitioners who share an interest on the subject, have been interviewed for the project.
